«A thousand flowers – a thousand ideas». An explosion of colors

Flowers and their colorful beauty are the theme of the exhibition “A thousand flowers – a thousand ideas” inaugurated yesterday in the exhibition hall of the Community of Italians of Rijeka, with which the painting group of the figurative arts section “Romolo Venucci” of the CI, led with so much passion by Tea Paškov. Greeting those present was the president of the CI, Melita Sciucca, who wanted to greet the painters, noting that the group grows from time to time, presenting more and more beautiful works. “This exhibition concludes with an explosion of colors the Rijeka Culture Week, which began with the exhibition of black and white ceramics presented by the ‘Romolo Venucci’ section,” she observed. She then wanted to wish Tea Paškov a happy birthday, which was yesterday, and explained that the teacher will appear together with her compatriot Bruno Paladin at an international exhibition in Perugia in a few months. Finally, you noted that “a teacher like that can only have good students”.

Tea Paškov recalled that flowers have always been a very represented motif in the history of art.
“It is a traditional motif that we wanted to represent in an original way, also introducing collage with recycled paper”, explained the teacher, then offering Melita Sciucca as a gift one of her paintings with the flower motif created during the painting lessons “when my students worked so well that I no longer had any observations to make and to avoid getting bored I started painting”.
