The control room on the Liguria Region’s waiting lists met in recent days to continue defining the new actions linked to the decree launched by the government. In Liguria many of the measures indicated are already in force. In recent months, in addition to the expressions of interest for the accredited private sector (diagnostics, cardiac surgery, orthopaedics), the Region has also envisaged an increase in budgets for companies and the monitoring of compliance with waiting list times.

“The inclusion of accredited private services in the agendas – explains the health councilor Angelo Gratarola – is already foreseen in Liguria, just as we have already taken action to define the guidelines relating to the additional services necessary to guarantee compliance with the deadlines ‘wait, when booking through the cup, this is not possible. In addition to this, during the last control room we talked about new last minute bookings as well as the measures provided for by the decree for those who book an exam but do not show up for an appointment. During the control room, which continues to meet constantly, we monitor the progress of the waiting lists in a dynamic manner and with the possibility of introducing any corrective measures even if many, thanks also to the contribution of Liguria Digitale, have already been implemented” .

Already in recent months the control room has started the project to establish a new single recall service, managed by the regional CIP, thus anticipating what is contained in the Schillaci decree. As the appointment approaches, the citizen will be contacted to remind him of the date and time of his booking. This reminder will be transmitted automatically, through various channels such as telephone, text message, e-mail, instant messaging. A service that adds to the reminder notification service, already active for users who have downloaded the Simplex Health app.
Compared to what is contained in the Schillaci decree regarding the single cup, Liguria has already had a single regional system for years. On this point, the control room has started to include all types of services in the agendas, even those that can only be booked by hospital departments, with the aim of, for example, facilitating follow-up procedures for patients with particular pathologies.

“The ‘last minute booking’ started on Prenoto Salute on 13 June – declares Enrico Castanini, sole director of Liguria Digitale -. Users can book or cancel appointments up to one hour before the visit or exam requested, thus also taking advantage of last-minute availability. All this with the same simple procedure to which Prenoto Salute has accustomed citizens until today. The other big news is the introduction of a function that will allow you to change the date of an appointment already booked. Starting from July, in fact, it will be possible to check the availability of better dates and possibly change the chosen appointment, without having to first cancel the one already fixed”.
