There Lazio Women enjoyed an extraordinary season, culminating in promotion to A league. Next year, the Biancocelesti, still led by Grassadonia, they will face more experienced and better equipped teams. For this reason, as the coach declared to the club’s official channels, the club is working to ensure an adequate and competitive squad.
These were the technician’s words:
“Since the championship ended we have been projecting ourselves towards the new season and we are working to set up the team in the best possible way. With great determination we have never hidden from day one. We knew it was difficult, we congratulated those who fought with us. Lazio has an extraordinary group. Certainly the play-off lost last year left negative residue. That too had been a ride, blown towards the end in the match against Napoli. We had the chance to take first place with the victory in Verona, we tried to do it with Pomigliano and we didn’t succeed. The following year we started again with determination, good girls. The club has always been close to us, especially in particular moments, we applaud them. We never felt alone and we were accompanied by pressure but those at Lazio have to live with it.”
“A league? The president has invested a lot, the new structure was completed a few days ago. A feather in the men’s cap too, in Serie A clubs don’t have these structures. The sports center is an important resource for Lazio and allows us to better understand the project. It will be a new championship for us, but we want to annoy and have our say. Having this structure, working in Formello and having a direct line with the first team, because towards the end of the season the club made their structures available to us, was important.”
