The Colle Diamen team of the Sporting Club of Sutri won the Italian Top Level Provincial Gold Padel Cup.
The team captained by Marco Marcucci and coached by maestro Sandro Tony triumphed in the final by beating Areapadel Viterbo with the results of 61/62 and 60/61 and secured the pass for the regional phase. Previously the bearers of the club from via Ronciglione had also overcome The Box Padel from the capital by 2 sets to 0. The matches were all with a very high technical rate and therefore of excellent quality.
The squad that achieved success is made up of Marco Marcucci, Sandro Tony, Mirko Fanelli, Paolo Boccolini, Marco Loppi, Massimiliano De Flumeri, Roberto Onofri, Francesco Imperatori, Riccardo Piergentili, Enzo Brillante and Simone De Santis. “This victory – said Marco Marcucci – testifies to the growth of our Padel club not only at the level of play of individual players but of the entire movement, I thank our Coach and player Sandro Tony, the owners of the club Davide and Lorenzo, the irreplaceable Federica for the organizational part and the . competition manager Rita Colopardi. We are happy with this result, and now we are ready to compete in the Regional Master too. As they say in these cases… it doesn’t end here.”
The girls of the Sporting Club Colle Diana also came close to achieving the feat on the same day; they were involved in the Silver final and were defeated only after a hard-fought final again against Areapadel. The club in via Ronciglione, founded in 1968, immersed in the greenery of Cimini, is one of the best equipped in Tuscia and has four padel courts, three of which are covered, testifying to the Club’s desire to establish itself in the game of padel, as it already has happened in tennis for many years with maestro De Cesaris who achieved high technical levels and also many successes with his athletes.
