The team of Loris Figoli, mayor of Riccò del Golfo for the third time, is ready. A council, as anticipated, all male “due to the impossibility of co-opting external councilors due to the absence of full gender alternation both in the majority and, objectively, in the entirety of the council table – underlines the mayor -. The current municipal regulations do not allow us to do so. In the first ‘hundred days’ it will be necessary to work together, the majority and the opposition, so that we can give constructive proof of wanting to improve together where it is necessary to move the clock forward”.
With Alberto Loi deputy mayor, also sitting on the council are Federico Lupi (councilor for Social Policies, delegation to the Rural Development Plan and delegation to the socio-functional recovery of the fractional system), Matteo Marsili (councillor for Civil Protection, delegation to road traffic and soil safety ), Walter Barilari (councillor for Public Works, delegation to personnel). Loi himself obtained the budget department with responsibility for trade and tourism.
Among the councilors with delegation are Diego Borri (delegation for Culture, delegation for communication, delegation for the digital transition, delegation for the identity of the capital/hamlets system), Massimo Casté (delegation for the environment, delegation for the ecological transition, delegation for integration inter-municipal territorial authority), Paolo Taddei (delegation for heritage, delegation for school buildings, delegation for sport), Roberto Villa (delegation for maintenance of the territory, delegation for the protection and recovery of woodland territory, delegation for wildlife protection).
“I thank the majority, which was able to accept a definition criterion from the Council that was direct, frank, quick and without the risk of multiple readings or conspiracy theories, precisely to guarantee the speed of restarting local government actions – underlines Figoli -. I would like to thank all those who have accompanied me in these ten years of administration, adding that without them there would not be this third mandate of mine. I would also like to underline that my civic origins, well rooted within the centre-right, in which I claim a solid Catholic and liberal education, would not have been so highly valued without the full agreement of the entire Ligurian centre-right, which has never questioned the validity of the “PROPOSTARICCO’3” project. The council includes many who, like me, while engaging in active politics, will be able to dedicate their efforts to an action that is valid for all the citizens of our Municipality, without any distinctions. A personal thought of mine goes to President Toti, to whom I remain firmly attached, hostage in a real war between institutions and very partial interpretations of the law”.
“In concluding, still grateful to the entire electorate for such broad and reassuring trust, I accept the belated invitation of councilor Giacomo Cappiello: none of the majority will take a step back, because we will all walk forward, so as to build the broadest and most representative Riccolese administration, relaunching a political and coordination function of the city council. If I had had the pleasure of hearing from him, as happened with some of his candidates, I would have been honored to update him on my intentions and those of the majority which, in its moments of political meeting, includes all twelve”.
