“Flavours of Friuli Venezia Giulia” makes the excellence of the territory known in our squares in a promotional work that is integrated with the sale of “Io Sono Friuli Venezia Giulia” branded products through the Despar Nord chains”. Thus the governor Massimiliano Fedriga who today, in the Palazzo della Regione, took part together with the councilor for Productive Activities and Tourism Sergio Emidio Bini in the illustration of the initiative which consists of the ten-stage tour of a truck specially equipped to host shows cooking and tastings and thus talk about local products and their artisans with a look at the great heritage of people, resources, quality, knowledge and traditions of the area. “We are a small region that has an enormous heritage of diversity to be exploited, both culinary and wine-making,” observed Fedriga. “All this becomes a great added value for a tourist economy that must focus on quality, to differentiate itself from mass tourism, promoting not only good but also healthy products, the result of zero kilometres”.

According to councilor Bini, the initiative “is the clear demonstration of the successful collaboration between the public and private sectors and the involvement of Despar Nord highlights a company that has received a lot from the territory, but which has also been able to give back”. “Flavours of Friuli Venezia Giulia”, promoted by the Agrifood Fvg Foundation in collaboration with PromoTurismoFVG, will start on 23 June from Lignano Sabbiadoro, then touch Sappada, Malborghetto, Majano, Trieste, Pordenone, Tolmezzo, Udine, Gemona and end on the 7th and 8th December in Gorizia. The president of the Agrifood Foundation Pier Giorgio Sturlese, who took part in the conference together with the director of Despar Nord for the regional territory Fabrizio Cicero, recalled that the “Io Sono Friuli Venezia Giulia” brand is constantly growing and already today represents more than 750 companies and more than a thousand branded products.
