He hits his ex-partner with a violent punch in the face. She falls to the ground, in pain. Then the man threatens her with death while holding a pair of scissors. Not even the intervention of two passers-by, who try to help the girl, manages to stop him. The officers arrive on site State Police which ultimately stops him. A 35-year-old Neapolitan man with a police record is in trouble. The man was arrested for family abuse, threats and aggravated personal injury as well as reported for carrying weapons or objects capable of offending.

The violent attack occurred this morning, Thursday 13 June 2024, in Piazza Giovanni Leone, in the area of Borgo Sant’Antonio Abate, in Naples. The agents of the Vicaria-Mercato and Decumani Commissariats, during the territorial control service, noticed a man in the street who was holding scissors and with these he was threatening a woman who was visibly shaken and with a swollen face.

The police wasted no time and intervened immediately. They stopped the 35-year-old with considerable difficulty, ascertaining that, shortly before, he had suddenly approached his ex-partner, first throwing a violent punch to her face, causing her to fall to the ground, and then threatening her with scissors, despite the intervention of two passers-by. Furthermore, the operators found that the attacker had already been responsible for violent behavior towards his ex on other occasions. At that point the 35-year-old suspect was put in handcuffs.
