He takes his leave afterwards six years of honorable service between the research after the collapse of the Morandi bridge and the earthquake emergency in Albania in 2019. The Leaf dog leaves the dog unit of the command of the Prato firefighters and prepares for a well-deserved rest.
Leaf entered in service in February 2018 after the training course carried out together with its handler, the expert policeman Luca Martino. She immediately stood out for her interpersonal skills in her operational and obedience approach.

He demonstrated his abilities especially in underground researchduring the interventions of the collapse of the Morandi viaduct and on the A26 in Liguria. There have also been numerous discoveries on the surface: worth mentioning is the rescue of a group of students who had lost their orientation in the Garfagnana mountains. After the discovery, a boy who was rescued to regain his strength from hypothermia had held little Leaf close to keep warm.
Foglia also gave its contribution on an international level, participating in the emergency earthquake in Albania in 2019. All the staff of the Prato Fire Brigade greeted the firefighter dog in a touching ceremony. As befits a colleague when he leaves active duty.
