Monza, 13 June 2024 – He slapped a bartender, attacked policemen, spat on them and kicked them. He threw an ashtray at them and threatened them. Incredible episode of violence a few evenings ago, which involved a 20-year-old girl.
Around 6pm last Saturday, officers from the Monza Police Headquarters intervened a bar in the city where a girl, following a reprimand for the way she was riding her bicycle on the sidewalk, had started to threaten and physically attack the bar owner and his customers, hitting the first with a slap to the face. Upon the arrival of the officers, the girl, a 20-year-old Italian citizen, began to address insults and death threats to them too.
During the intervention, in an attempt to divide the disputing parties and restore calm, the girl started to repeatedly slap and kick the officers. The 20-year-old also grabbed a glass ashtray from one of the tables outside the bar, and then throw it ferociously in the direction of an officer. In an attempt to contain the young girl’s aggression, the officers were there again hit with kicks and slaps so much so that one of them suffered a bruise on his left hand.
After getting into the service carthe girl didn’t stop but continued to hit repeatedly the windows of the passenger compartment with the intention of breaking them. Even in the offices of the Police Headquarters, the young woman addressed constant insults to the officers and then spit on him several times and kick him repeatedly.
At this point the girl was arrested for the crime of violence, threats and resistance to a public official, as well as for the crime of aggravated injuries.
The 20-year-old was, moreover, already known to the Police Headquarters offices for her previous dealings with drugs and violence and threats to a public official, so much so that she had recently been the recipient of the provision of the Oral Notice of the Police Commissioner of Monza and Brianza, as well as of the provision of the “urban daspo” with a ban on accessing and staying in public places in the “nightlife” area in via Bergamo and via De Gradi for a period of three years.
The arrest was validated in Court and the precautionary measure of compulsory residence in Monza was ordered with home stay between 8pm and 7am.
