PISTOIA – Who killed Giusy Levacovich he tried to simulate his death by suicide. An unsuccessful misdirection. In fact, from the external examination of the body, the signs of strangulation in the neck were evident to the medical examiner. Furthermore, no rope tied to the neck or in any way near the body was found by investigators.

However, the autopsy, still to be arranged, will shed light on the causes of the death of the 39-year-old mother of four, resident at the gypsy camp in via XIV Maggio in Buggiano.

Giusy Levacovich’s body was found yesterday morning lying on the ground, not far from the prefabricated house where she lived with her children and partner. It was some relatives who saw the body and therefore alerted 112. A report, at first, which appeared to be a probable suicide of the woman.

But the investigative certainty of the murder then made its way yesterday with the investigations of the Carabinieri investigative unit directed by the deputy prosecutor Leonardo De Gaudio. As mentioned, the medical examiner’s external examination of the body, carried out during yesterday’s investigative activity, ascertained the presence of signs of strangulation: the woman died of strangulation.

Yesterday afternoon, the 39-year-old’s partner, who was outside Buggiano when the woman was found, was also interviewed.

A murder case has been opened in the Prosecutor’s Office, currently involving unknown persons, and the Carabinieri’s investigations are comprehensive with the utmost confidentiality of the judiciary.
