“With a recent note, the interim President Alessandro Piana formalized the request to replace the name of the Chief of Cabinet in the control room with that of the President of the Regional Council or his delegate. I remind councilors Tosi and Ugolini that the composition of the control room responds to the need to assist the regional council in its functions of direction and coordination of the health companies and the health system bodies through the necessary participation of figures capable of expressing the positions of the respective bodies and to ensure synchrony between all the actors of the regional Health Service. The control room therefore represents a systemic response to the issue of waiting lists in order to provide univocal responses for the entire Ligurian Regional Health System”.
Thus the councilor for Health Angelo Gratarola regarding the question in the chamber of the councilors Fabio Tosi and Paolo Ugolini in which they were asked to know the reason for the inclusion in the organic plan of the Control Room of the Chief of Cabinet of the President of the Regional Council and with which other person will the Chief of Staff of the President of the Regional Council be replaced in light of the latter’s resignation in May 2024.
“Since the President of the Council appears to have among his powers also that of the Budget – continues the Councilor for Health Angelo Gratarola – and since the measures relating to the reduction of waiting lists have important economic implications, his presence or his delegate in the control room, as in the case of the Chief of Staff, is almost indispensable. I remind you that the control room is also made up of the Directors of the Health and Social Services Area, of the Central Finance, Budget and Controls Directorate, of the Central Organization Directorate, of the General Director of Alisa, of the Commissioner for Digital Innovation of the Liguria Region and by the Coordinator of the Technical Secretariat. The same was therefore established to support the optimization of digital processes in order to operate in support of the Region for the optimization and improvement of processes and procedures regarding waiting times”.
