Here are the first mayors elected in Canavese: they won the quorum challenge

There were no bad surprises at the polls. Civic sense won in all those municipalities in the Canavese area where a single list was presented.

That one candidate, who was often also the outgoing mayor, was elected by winning the challenge against the quorum which wanted at least 40 percent of those entitled to vote for him.

And that threshold has been well exceeded everywhere, from Agliè to Traversella, passing through Burolo, Tavagnasco, Maglione, Andrate, Quassolo, Mercenasco, San Colombano, Pratiglione, Issiglio, Traversella, Loranzè.

For all of them the official status is still missing which will only be available at the end of the counting of the ballots which will begin tomorrow afternoon, after the counting of the Regional elections.

THIS IS WHO THE MAYORS ARE

Aglie

With a voter turnout of 64.84 percentthe outgoing mayor is reconfirmed Marco Succio. At the helm of the civic list “Agliè prima tutto” he was the only candidate running for the tricolor band. For him, this will be the third consecutive mandate.

Burolo

The doors of the third consecutive mandate also open for the outgoing mayor of Burolo, Franco Cominetto, at the helm of the civic “Forze Democratici Burolesi”. The turnout here was 68.85 percent.

Tavagnasco

The only candidate in the running is a new face in local politics. It’s about Moreno Nicoletta leading the list “Tavagnasco 2030, the country I would like”. Here the voter turnout was 71.02 percent.

Sweater

Also in Maglione, a new mayor is taking over the reins of the municipal administration, Giovanni Chimenti with the civic “Together for Maglione”. In his case, however, we cannot speak of a new face in local politics because Chimenti had already been a candidate for mayor in another municipality, Borgomasino. The one who voted here was the 71.75 percent of voters.

Go

The mayor was confirmed for the third consecutive term Enrico Bovo who, at the head of the “A future for Andrate” list, was elected with a turnout of 59.23 percent.

Almost alone

The outgoing mayor of Quassolo was also reconfirmed, Augustine Blanc, leading “Together for Quassolo”. Here the voter turnout was 73.88 percent.

Mercenasco

Change to driving the municipal car where, to the mayor Angelo Parri, after ten years of administration it happens Giovanni Levrio. His is a great return. Levrio, in fact, had already been mayor of Mercenasco in the past. At the helm of the civic “Mercenasco e Villate Insieme”, he was elected with the votes of 64.57 percent of eligible voters.

San Colombano

Outgoing mayor reconfirmed Diego Galletto who after five years of administration in the small municipality of Val Gallenca has re-nominated himself as leader of the “SiAmo San Colombano Belmonte” list. The quorum here was almost doubled. In fact, the vote went 75.73 percent of voters.

Pratiglione

The outgoing mayor is also confirmed in Pratiglione. Giovanni Trucano, with the civic name “Cittadini di Pratiglione”, will drive the municipal car for another five years. Voter turnout in Pratiglione was 63.79 percent.

Issiglio

The outgoing mayor has also been confirmed in the small municipality of Valchiusella. Sergio Vigna, at the helm of the “Doing together we can” list, will govern for another five years. Voter turnout was high and reached 72.88 percent.

Crossbar

The “reign” of the historic mayor has ended Renza Colombatto who, being over eighty years old, decided not to run again, it was his son who was elected, Marco Puglisi with the “Traversella Nuove Energie” list. Renza Colombatto, however, did not drop out, still remaining on the list. Here the voter turnout was 66.02 percent.

Loranzè

Here there were two lists presented, but due to a formal defect, the one led by Alexander Russo, “Let’s renew Loranzè”, had been refused on the day the deadline for submitting the lists expired. The race to the polls therefore continued only for the outgoing mayor, Claudio Marchiori, at the helm of “Independents for Loranzè”. Marchiori will govern for another five years. The turnout here was 67.83 percent.
