The last day of school is a solidarity initiative

Needle and thread to close the school year in the name of solidarity. A special last day at the “De Andrè” high school, where the students, in addition to the final moment of celebration, organized workshops and meetings with local associations. Various associations such as Perlar, Dutur Kaos, City Angels, scout, Ail, Ioaccolgo, Anpi, Admo, Avis, Bambini in Braille, Incitement-Italy Ets, Unicef have entered the classrooms of the high school in via Bonini.

Among the most popular workshops was the pigotte workshop, held by the Amiche di Travagliato group, who guided over fifty girls and boys in the creation of the Unicef doll.

“We were positively impressed by the curiosity and enthusiasm with which these young people made the pigotte – explains Letizia Ravizzola, representative of the Unicef group in Travagliato – and by the commitment with which, even those who didn’t know how to sew, still tried to learn” .

Many of the pigotte made in the “De Andrè” high school laboratory will now be put up for adoption to support an important project: the proceeds from the initiative will in fact be used to support Unicef’s work against malnutrition. There were many institutions in which the end of school was celebrated yesterday, even if for 90 thousand students from Brescia the last bell rang already on Thursday, because many institutions had to close early to make room for polling stations.
