Leonardo Fabbri triumphs in the shot put at the 2024 European Athletics Championships in Rome. The Florentine born in ’97 respects the predictions of the day before, which rightly gave him the super favourite, and takes the continental gold medal with a time of 22.45, which is also the new championship record. After a subpar first launch of 20.42 Blacksmiths he leveled up with the second from 22.12 meters, already effectively closing the race and thus sealing the gold medal.
