Requested the intervention of a Canadair in Dorgali, where operations are still ongoing

Thirteen fires in the island territory today. For two of these, the intervention of the Forestry Corps’ aerial vehicles was necessary. The first is a fire in the municipality of Escalaplano, locality “C.Nieddia”.
The operations were coordinated by the local Forestry Corps which operated together with that of San Nicolò Gerrei, assisted by a helicopter from the Villasalto base. The firefighting operations ended at around 1.15pm.
The second in Dorgali, “Riu Filine” locality. On site were staff from the Forestry Corps of Dorgali and Orosei, two teams from the Forestas agency from the Oliena and Galtellì shipyards and a team from the Nuoro Fire Brigade.
A helicopter from the Villasalto base is also operational, and the intervention of a Canadair from Ciampino has also been requested. Operations still in progress.
