The mayor of Porto Torres protests over ferries to Genoa
For three days there will be no ferries on the route Porto Torres-Genoaan inconvenience that is denounced by the mayor Massimo Mulas. “The citizens of Porto Torres are informed that the Tirrenia-Cin shipping company has communicated the cancellation of the Porto Torres-Genoa maritime line on Sunday 9Monday 10 Its tuesday 11 June. For passengers without a car who need to reach the Ligurian airport, a bus for the Porto Torres-Olbia connection and vice versa”.
“However, this is an inconvenience which also constitutes an increase in costs for motorists and transporters. The latter, in fact, must transfer the trailers from one port to another at their own expense”.
“Faced with such a disservice, the mayor, Massimo Mulas, underlines the need for a urgent discussion table with the competent authorities and with theregional transport department to clarify the actual validity and effectiveness of the 2021 convention on maritime territorial continuity which has entrusted the public service to the Tirrenia-Cin company until 2026 – we read in a note -. In this area too, in fact, it is essential to be able to have the guarantee of a service efficient passenger and freight transport all year round. Otherwise it is complicated to be able to plan all the activities connected to the port”.
“The shuttle bus will be available on Sunday 9th and Tuesday 11th June with departure from Porto Torres at 6.30pm from the Via Bassu Maritime Station and from Olbia, in the morning, during the ship’s docking time.
