SARONNO – The presence of a gas cylinder in the middle of a pile of waste abandoned in a flowerbed in via Don Minzoni in the Matteotti district has caused concern.
The report comes from a resident: “Unfortunately in this part of the city we are used to illegal landfills but an abandoned gas cylinder like this is really a bit much.” It is no coincidence that the local police command soon received a report and took action to recover and dispose of the cylinder safely.
The intervention was carried out in the early afternoon yesterday in response to some calls from residents. Only a few weeks ago an illegal landfill in the area was photographed by the Administration and the shot was shared on social media as part of the campaign against degradation which sees the municipality sharing images of abandoned waste, full bins and even dog excrement to raise awareness citizens on the importance of a tidier and cleaner city.
