In 1995 The Gathering they released the studio album ‘Mandylion’, well received by both critics and audiences. Now, almost 30 years later, that album has been certified gold in the Netherlands!
They were the ones who reported it themselves The Gatheringreunited in a classic line-up composed of Hans Rutten, Rene Rutten, Hugo Prinsen Geerligs, Jelmer Wiersma, Frank Boeijen And Anneke van Giersbergen.
The band communicated from their social spaces: Mandylion has officially gone gold in the Netherlands after almost 30 years! It’s an incredible feeling to know that a new generation has also embraced our music and continues to do so. sell after all these years We are so grateful for your support and it means a lot to us.
To celebrate this special occasion, we decided to reunite at Lux Nijmegen, the place where we recorded our album Sleepy Buildings many years ago. It was a wonderful reunion and we had a great time meeting. Thank you Wilko, Ula and Century Media for making this possible. This Gold certification is a testament to the timeless nature of music and how it can unite people across generations.
