Last Friday, during the ambulance transport from the Immigration Office in via Teofilo Patini to the hospital atUmberto I Hospital in Romea 16-year-old boy, an illegal immigrant of Moroccan origin, attacked two nurses, kicking them and breaking the wrist of one of them.
The young man had already begun to throw tantrums before. For this reason, the police, around 6 pm, had asked for the intervention of the medical personnel, including a doctor, who had administered a dose of sedative. A dose that seemed to have calmed the fury of the 16-year-old, who was then placed in the emergency vehicle to be transferred. Instead, evidently, it had had no effect. Halfway there, in fact, the boy attacked the nurse on board with a violent kick.

At that point the driver stopped the ambulance to go and help his colleague, and the young man tried to escape. Then he also attacked the nurse of the medical car that was following him, who together with the doctor had intervened to stop him: another kick followed by the violent twisting of the wrist, until it broke.
The driver then alerted the patrol of officers who were escorting the ambulance, who finally stopped the boy, and then called the doctor. The doctor arrived quickly on the scene, where he administered another dose of sedative, this time sufficient. The attacker was then transferred to the hospital for compulsory medical treatment, while the nurse sought treatment in the emergency room. The prognosis for him is 20 days, barring complications.
