Warner Bros is developing a TV series based on the action film 300 Of Zack Snyder of 2006, which in turn was an adaptation of Frank Miller’s comic of the same name.
The series is supposed to be a prequel to the film and, as reported by Deadline, the studio is looking to bring Snyder and Deborah Snyder back to work on it together with members of the original 300 production team. At the moment, however, the project is in the process of early development and there’s no screenwriter yet.

300 is a visually stunning epic set in the year 480 BC The story follows King Leonidas of Sparta as he leads 300 of his best warriors against the vast Persian army led by King Xerxes at the Battle of Thermopylae. Despite the enormous numerical inferiority, the ferocious fighting skills and unshakable determination of the Spartans enhanced their legendary valor and discipline. The 300 warriors found themselves fighting against an army of 300,000 Persians.
The film was a great success at the box office and launched the career of Zack Snyder who, until then, had made the still valid remake of The dawn of the Living Dead. It could be a good opportunity for Snyder to redeem his name after the slip-up made with the Rebel Moon saga on Netflix, which received criticism from both the specialized press and the public for its poor quality.
