Day 15 of the investigation is the eve of the interrogation of Giovanni Toti, who will have to explain the transfer of 55 thousand euros from the party account to the personal one. 70 thousand euros seized from Signorini. Interdictory measure confirmed for Moncada (Esselunga).

INTERROGATION – The interrogation of Giovanni Toti by prosecutors Luca Monteverde and Federico Manotti is scheduled for the morning of Thursday 23 May. The venue for the discussion has not yet been set, at the end of which the President of the Region could ask for the revocation of the precautionary measure, which has seen him under house arrest since 8 May.

55 THOUSAND EUROS ‘SUSPICIOUS’ – The governor could be called upon to clarify, among other things, a new aspect that emerged from the documents, namely the transfer of 55 thousand euros from the current account of his political committee to the personal one, opened at two different banking institutions. The investigators want to understand the reasons for this movement of money.

70 THOUSAND EUROS SEIZED FROM SIGNORINI – “70 or 80 thousand euros were seized from Signorini’s account. It’s not true that he had nothing.” Thus the lawyer Enrico Scopesi who defends the former president of the port authority of Genoa and former CEO of Iren Emilio Paolo Signorini, in prison since 7 May as part of the investigation into corruption which led to the president of the Liguria Region being placed under house arrest Giovanni Toti. The lawyer reiterated to the prosecutors, in these hours, his willingness to make himself heard as he had already told the investigating judge before making use of the right not to respond. However, a date has not yet been set.

INTERDICTIVE MEASURE CONFIRMED FOR MONCADA – The judge for preliminary investigations Paola Faggioni rejected the request for revocation of the interdictory measure ordered against Francesco Moncada, former director of the Esselunga board of directors. Moncada is involved in the investigation which led to the president of the Liguria Region Giovanni Toti being under house arrest from 7 May. The manager had made spontaneous declarations before the judge, affirming his innocence and that he had acted “always in full compliance with the law and in absolute transparency”.
