But this is exactly what happened to Elizabeth Egeland, a Massachusetts lady who last month found a puppy meowing hungrily in her basement. She had no idea where it had come from so, baffled, she checked the security cameras and discovered the mystery.
“It’s like my Disney princess moment,” commented Elizabeth, shocked to see the closed-circuit video that captured the exact moment a cat enters the house through the basement window holding in its mouth what was most precious: the her kitten. The stray was looking for a safe place to stay while waiting for his return with his food. “Red takes care of him through and through. It’s the cutest thing ever. Fluffernutter clings to the bottle until it’s empty, and “likes to snuggle up to me while he feeds.”
Thanks to this extra care, the little one is growing rapidly and is already climbing “anything he can get his claws into.” The little family will soon move to her new home, to Elizabeth’s sister-in-law who has made herself available to welcome the little one while Red will remain in this house, where three other dogs and two cats already live.
