STILL WET CURRENTS AND CLOUDS

The transit of a disturbed front over the Alpine area determines, once again, the influx of humid currents towards our region, resulting in general conditions of variability over the weekend.

Between the night and these early hours of the morning the skies are very cloudy or overcast between Savona and Tigullio with associated drizzle or showers, especially near the hills of eastern Savona, where accumulations of up to 10mm are recorded from midnight. Instead, at the extremes of the region there are also large clearings.
Minimum temperatures have increased across the entire regional territory, an increase of more than 5°C/7°C compared to yesterday on the valley floors of the eastern Po Valley side. In detail, along the coast we find morning values between +17°C and +20°C, between +11°C and +18°C in the internal valley bottoms and between 5°C and +10°C on the peaks of the Ligurian Alps and Apennines. Here are the minimum temperatures recorded in the four provincial capitals by our monitoring network:

  • Genoa Castelletto:+20.0°C
  • Savona: +20.2°C
  • Imperia: +19.2°C
  • La Spezia: +18.3°C

During the day, greater clearings, although low cloud cover and local drizzle may continue to affect the central sector of the region. Furthermore, between central hours and the afternoon, some showers cannot be ruled out in the Ligurian Alps, which will end in the evening. Maximum temperatures are expected to increase, maximum peaks up to +24°C/+25°C. Moderate or strong southern ventilation along the coast, reinforcements up to strong on the Po Valley slopes. Sea generally rough.

Good morning Liguria!
