This morning, in the intersection known as the “killer” between via Di Carlo and via Perlasca in Sulmona, a bad accident occurred between two cars which caused three injuries, triggering apprehension among the inhabitants of the area.
The two cars involved, a Fiat Stilo and a Jeep, collided for reasons still under investigation. The impact was so violent that it caused the fence of a nearby house to detach, increasing the level of alarm among the occupants of the cars involved and the residents who witnessed the collision.
The rescue was immediate, with the arrival on site of two ambulances from 118 and the Green Cross of Pratola Peligna. The victims, an elderly couple and a man, were transferred to the emergency room, with injuries that did not appear to be serious.
From the first reconstructions of the accident, conducted by the Local Police who intervened on the scene, it would appear that the Jeep came from Via Perlasca while the Fiat Stilo came from Via Di Carlo. This intersection, sadly known for a fatal accident that occurred eighteen years ago, is now at the center of controversy regarding the conditions of the road and the safety of motorists and pedestrians who cross it daily.
The local authorities are working to clarify the dynamics of the incident and to adopt any measures aimed at ensuring greater safety in that critical area of the city.
