After a first week full of events and audiences, the Casarsa della Delizia Wine Festival dives into the second starting from the events linked to May 1st, such as the long-awaited Wine March.
There Casarsa della Delizia Wine Festival it is more than just a party: it is a real celebration of the roots and innovations of the territory. This year, the event reaches an important milestone, its 75th edition. An unmissable event for lovers of wine and local traditions, which this year celebrates 76 years of history with a rich program of events.
Culture and entertainment in the heart of Friuli Venezia Giulia
The Festival offers a full calendar of events, with over 50 events designed to satisfy the most demanding palates and entertain a vast and heterogeneous audience. The activities range from live music, which enlivens the evenings, to conferences dedicated to topics such as wine, local history and cooperation. There is no shortage of book presentations and exhibitions, which enrich the cultural offering of the festival.
Gastronomy and wine tradition: the pillars of the Festival
At the center of the event we find the wine shop, where it is possible to taste the best wines of the region, and the kiosks of local associations, which offer culinary delights typical of the area. Furthermore, this year a new feature is introduced: “Filari di Bolle – Selection of sparkling wines from Friuli Venezia Giulia”, an event dedicated to lovers of bubbles.
Sport and community: a strengthened bond
A significant moment of this edition is represented by Wine March, an event that combines sport and tradition in a festive atmosphere. The sporting twinning with the city of Idrija, in Slovenia, adds a touch of internationality, culminating in a friendly football match between the Old Glories of Casarsa and the Slovenian team.
The impact on the territory
The festival is not only an event of great tourist attraction; it is also a moment of valorising the territory and strengthening the sense of community. The influx of visitors from different regions and even from abroad testifies to the importance and attractiveness of the event, which is renewed every year while maintaining its roots.

At 8.30 pm in the Council Room of Palazzo Burovich di Zmajevich, Youth discomfort and social media: the role of sport in the development of well-being, organized by the Gestal center of Udine and with the participation of psychologists and testimonials from the sports scene. An event that is part of the centenary of Sas Casarsa.
At 9.30pm Bar Agli Amici, live music will be played tonight with Cellar Door Trio, Starobrno Czech beer.

Wednesday 1 May the Wine Festival begins at 8.30 am with the 52nd Wine March Terre and Città del Vino. At 10am and in the afternoon at 3pm, archery demonstration by ASD Arcieri della Fenice FVG in the garden of Palazzo Burovich de Zmajevich and Spazio per Bambini 4M3 Aps in via Pasolini, decoration of plaster molds which will be given as gifts to the children. At 3.30pm and 5.30pm Doctor Stok, an abstruse scientist and “Spigolo”, the alchemic contraption capable of incredible transformations, will carry out their great experiment! Domino effect contraptions, catapults, cushions, pots, ladles, every object will literally come to life. At 4pm and 6pm, Mascotte, the cute characters you have always seen in cartoons in Casarsa come to life and will give you moments of joy. Itinerant through the streets of the center. At 4.30pm and 6.30pm in Piazza Cavour, Pink Mary, in a U-shaped air space, moves a woman who, at least for one evening, will be determined to conquer everyone! At 4pm in via XXIV Maggio, performance by hip hop, modern dance, standard dance, Latin, synchro latin dances, with the extraordinary performance of Italian standard dance champions by Oasi Danze&Fitness.

The Wine Festival on May 2nd will open at 6pm with the opening of the amusement park and the food and wine kiosks. At 7pm at the Al Posta restaurant, in via Valvasone, Angelo Costacurta and Stefano Costa – Tazzelenghe – The “tongue-cutting” Friulian wine born in Lombard land. Tazzelenghe (tongue cutter, in Friulian) is a wine that can test winemakers like few others. Belonging to the Refosco family, he however clearly distinguishes himself from the more calm relatives. Endowed with a very strong personality, for many indomitable, it requires great oenological expertise, a certain amount of patience, and very specific starting conditions – terroir and climate, as found in the province of Udine, and in particular in the area of Buttrio and Cividale . Attested since the late Middle Ages, Tazzelenghe is the expression of a territory of enormous historical importance.
Cividale, a UNESCO world heritage city, already strategic for the Romans, was the first capital of the Lombard duchy in Italy, subsequently capital of the homeland of Friuli and for a long time intertwined with the history of the Republic of Venice.
