TRENT. Tragic accident late in the morning, today, Wednesday 17 April, on provincial road 235 of the Interporto: one person lost his life in a head-on collision between a car and a truck.
It happened shortly after 11.30am, at a point on the link road between the crossroads for Zambana Vecchia and the Rupe.
At the moment there is no precise information available on the dynamics, the victim is the person who was driving the car.
Fatal accident in Zambana Vecchia: car against truck
A person who was driving a car died in a collision with a lorry which occurred around 11.30 am on the SP 235, in the municipality of Terre d’Adige, in the Rotaliana plain, near Zambana Vecchia.
The Trentino Emergenza helicopter also intervened on site, but unfortunately there was nothing left to do for the injured person.
Two ambulances also intervened, as well as the traffic police – who are in charge of the investigations and reconstructing the dynamics of the accident -, the carabinieri, the local Rotaliana police and volunteer firefighters.
Following the dramatic accident, which occurred in the municipal area of Lands of Adige, the road was temporarily closed to traffic, to allow rescue intervention and subsequent operations.
