Anzio, 39-year-old in handcuffs for threats and attacks, which were also witnessed by his minor children, against his ex

The man, with the excuse of wanting to get the dog back, went to his ex-wife in recent days and, once he reached the front door, attacked her, forcing her to go to the emergency room of the Anzio hospital. The exhausted woman filed a complaint and the handcuffs were put in place

(AGR) The investigators of the State Police of the Anzio-Nettuno Commissariat, as soon as they received the complaint from a woman against her ex-spouse, immediately started investigations, which then allowed the man to be arrested.

The latter, a 39-year-old Italian, already denounced by the woman in the past for being violent and aggressive, with the excuse of wanting to get the dog back, went to the ex-wife’s house in recent days and, once he reached the front door of the house, he attacked her, forcing her to go to the emergency room of the Anzio hospital.

The officers ascertained that the relationship between the two had ended in 2021, when the woman decided to leave her husband following his violent behavior towards her. In fact, several times, after abusing her alcohol, her ex-husband used to attack her verbally and physically, even hitting her with a billhook.

The violence, according to the woman, also occurred in the presence of her minor children who were then forced, each time, to flee the house together with their mother.

Thus, following the latest episode, which occurred about ten days ago, during which the man reiterated his death threats against his ex-wife via a well-known messaging application, the victim decided to present himself at the police station offices to file a complaint.

The police immediately went to the home of the 39-year-old, who was already known to the police and had already been placed under house arrest in the past. Following a house search, the officers found and seized a 50 cm machete and a switchblade.

Once the proceedings were completed, the man was arrested as he was seriously suspected of the crime of family abuse. The arrest, at the request of the Velletri Public Prosecutor’s Office, was validated.

In any case, the suspect is to be considered presumed innocent, in consideration of the current phase of the proceedings, i.e. that of the preliminary investigations, until a definitive finding of guilt with an irrevocable sentence.
