The “Ferraris” Professional Institute of Brindisi, soul of the “Messapia” Center – directed by the professor Rita Ortenzia De Vito -, won 1st place in the provincial phase of the 2024 ANPIT Competition (National Association for Industry and the Tertiary Sector), with the creation of a short essay on “pros and cons of artificial intelligence and its applications in various fields such as communication, education, healthcare, the world of work, home life and the environment”. Deeply satisfied and pleasantly surprised by the results achieved by the students of Polo Messapia, the president of Anpit Brindisi, Dr. Giuseppe Quatela who, visibly moved, awarded the prize, consisting of a scholarship, to Mattia Ammirato And Mario D’Angella, 5D students of the “Ferraris” Institute. But there’s more: “We never thought that our work would receive the appreciation of the regional commission – Mario and Mattia declare with voices trembling with emotion – so much so that we were also awarded the 1st prize of the regional phase. Today we represent Puglia at a national level and we are proud of this.” In fact, among the numerous works presented by renowned Apulian institutes in the ANPIT regional competition, the short essay by Mario and Mattia, entitled “The Last Frontier”, was widely appreciated by the commission:[…]Collaboration in terms of research, comparison, evaluation and critical reworking, SWOT analysis – we read in the unquestionable opinion of the commission – is the result of a 4-handed product which, in the era of individualism and the crisis of cultural pluralism, opens a space of resilience to a prospective vision of the most Social, Inclusive and, above all, Democratic reality”. A comment that makes not only the students proud, but the entire school which, widely recognized for the quality of its professional training courses, today receives the recognition of a highly educational school also on basic skills, on the ability to re-elaborate particularly complex topics with ‘Artificial intelligence especially when a critical approach is required beyond the compilation dimension of the work. A judgment which, in the widespread impotence that afflicts the world of adults on which paths to take to stem the educational emergency which has now become a priority among the social urgencies to be faced, the School confirms itself, alongside the family, as the only reality in which to invest.
