Moments of fear on Cretaz chairlift Of Cerviniain Valle d’Aosta. Someone gusts Of wind sudden speeds, exceeding 100 kilometers per hour, blocked the plant, which had already been closed to the public due to the sudden worsening of conditions. The images of video recorded by a person present and spread on social media are impressive.
The plant was immediately closed for security reasons and, reports LaPresse, the skiers were recovered. Luckily, on board of the chairlift there was no one left.
The last passengers, in fact, were reaching the top station. This was communicated by Cervino Spa through a note.
“During the unloading phase of the line – which took place in complete safety and according to procedures – a further increase in wind“, the company said, as reported by AostaEvening.
“All the people on board arrived at their destination without consequences“, concludes the note.
The tragedy on the chairlift to the Alpe di Siusi
Last January 25th two skiers fell from a chairlift on the Alpe di Siusi, in South Tyrol. The episode occurred near the valley station of theGoldknopf ski lift.
One of the two, aged 83, lost her life following a flight of approximately 7 metres. The second, 55 years old, was hospitalized in serious conditions at the Bolzano hospital.
The Aiut Alpin Dolomites and Pelikan 2 helicopters intervened on site, as well as the Alpine rescue and the Carabinieri.
