The Frosinone prosecutor’s office has entered two people in the register of suspects for theaccident on the highway cost the twenty-one year old Roman girl her life Eleonora Certelli. And, among those under investigation, there is also the girl’s mother, who was driving the Peugeot 107 which collided with a heavy vehicle. The other suspect, in fact, is the driver of the truck, a forty-year-old foreigner living in Tuscany. The impact, due to the investigation of the A1 subsection of the Frosinone traffic police, occurred on Tuesday afternoon in the north lane between Ferentino and Anagni. The group from Rome, also made up of the victim’s boyfriend and brother, were returning to the capital from Rome after attending a graduation at the University of Cassino.
Eleonora was a former athlete, competing in long jump and sprinting. She had been registered with the Rieti Student Athletics and with the Fiamme Azzurre. She wanted to graduate in Sports Science. The public prosecutor Beatrice Neroni, holder of the case, has investigated the two drivers of the vehicles involved and will arrange, through a technical consultancy, an expert opinion for the reconstruction of the dynamics of the crash. Among investigations that those on the cell phones of the two drivers will also be arranged to exclude that distraction could be among the causes of the accident.
