Varese – He does not accept the ongoing separation from his wife and so decides to set himself on fire in the methane car parked in front of the family home. The dramatic episode happened in Golasecca. The man, 50 years old, doused himself with petrol in front of his wife, 42 years old, and his daughter, 13 years old: both were seriously burned while trying to save him. The alarm was raised immediately and the 118 rescuers and the firefighters arrived on the scene. The man was immediately taken into care while firefighters also put out the fire that broke out in the car and completely devastated the vehicle. The 50-year-old was transferred and hospitalized in the major burns department of the Niguarda hospital in Milan following the very serious burns he suffered, but unfortunately he didn’t make it. The man did not survive, dying.
