Gaza, Hamas releases video of two Israeli hostages

The military wing of Hamas has published the video of two Israeli hostages: Keith Siegal, who is also a US citizen, taken in the Kfar Aza kibbutz, and Omri Miran, kidnapped on October 7 in the Nir Oz kibbutz. The latter’s sister was recently, together with other families, received by Pope Francis in the Vatican. In the images, both of them, very distressed, talk about “a harsh condition” due to the bombings on the Strip and speak words of “love for their family”. “I have been a prisoner for 202 days – says Omri Miran – we live in difficult conditions under heavy bombing. The time has come to reach an agreement. Put pressure on the government. Continue to protest”. Overwritten, Hamas claims that “the killing” in Israel’s raids “of dozens of hostages prevented others from celebrating the Jewish Passover with their loved ones”. The two kidnapped men appeal to the Israeli government to participate in negotiations for an agreement for their release. “Sometimes we feel abandoned – says Keith Siegal – I saw the protests in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. I hope they continue”.
Israel has always called these Hamas videos “psychological propaganda”.
