The Autobianchi A112 is a model that dates back many years, and now images have emerged that portray it in a modern key.

It was produced from 1969 to 1986, in a period of great challenges among manufacturers. In fact, in the second half of the sixties, the FIAT had to deal with the entry into the Italian market of Miniwho circumvented the problem of customs duties by building his own cars in Italian, taking advantage of the factories of Innocentswhere the myth was also born Lambretta.
Therefore, FIAT needed fresh air, since the 850 was too old to compete with the Minis, much loved especially by women. At that point, Dante Giacosa proposed, through his subsidiary Autobianchi, to create a new small carwhich had an elegant design, and to equip it with a more modern front-wheel drive, so as to immediately make it a major player on the market.
