A scorching weekend is expected in Sicily, with African heat, the first of this summer 2024 that promises to be record-breaking. According to the experts at 3bmeteo, the African anticyclone will strengthen over the Mediterranean in the coming days and will determine stable and largely sunny weather except for local low clouds in the morning towards the Tyrrhenian side. On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, a high pressure field embraces the Region, guaranteeing stable and sunny weather everywhere. Specifically, on the Tyrrhenian coast, the Ionian coast, the southern coast, on the Apennines and inland areas, mostly clear or slightly cloudy skies for the entire day.
“After so much bad weather, the North is finally experiencing a truce that will however not last long. The weekend will in fact see the return of some showers or thunderstorms, even strong ones, in the Alps, Piedmont and Lombardy, especially on Saturday evening when local hailstorms, cloudbursts and gusts of wind are not excluded – confirmed by the meteorologist of 3bmeteo.com Edoardo Ferrara who continues – in the rest of Italy, instead, conditions of stable and mostly sunny weather will be expected, even if the skies could at times be obscured again both by the passage of medium-high clouds, more or less extensive, but once again also by Saharan dust blown by winds coming from the Algerian desert”.
