Nintendo Switch, update 18.1.0 is available: here’s what changes

From this moment you can download a new update for Nintendo Switchavailable as always on all versions of the hybrid console family.

The last official update dates back to almost a month and a half ago, which served to resolve a serious problem that prevented connection to some Wi-Fi networks: also in this case it is an important patch, but unfortunately more than adding new features Nintendo he mainly removed them.

As had been announced in unsuspecting times, the big N has indeed support for the social networkthus making it impossible to directly share your images on your account.

The update also caused some consequences for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (you can find it discounted on Amazon): patch 18.1.0 removes the possibility of share screenshots saved in your album to the Nintendo Switch Online app for smartphones.

As a natural consequence of the removal of the X support, the functionality that allowed you to find your friends thanks to the connection of the console with the social network — which will obviously no longer be available.

However, there will be no shortage of the usual ones “system stability improvements”inevitable with every Nintendo Switch update, even if in this case we don’t know specifically what they are.

At the moment the complete official changelog is only available in English and you can view it at the following address: obviously we will update you promptly on our pages if further news emerges.

In any case, with today’s update, our Nintendo Switch consoles officially become less “social”: a true end of an era.

Staying on the subject of news, we take this opportunity to remind you that this month we will see a new Nintendo Direct, even if at the moment we still don’t have an official date.

However, it has been confirmed that there will be no preview relating to “Switch 2”, but the new console will be revealed by the end of the fiscal year.
