Stellar Blade: Shift Up CEO talks about a sequel and jokes about the ages of the characters

Stellar Blade it hasn’t arrived in stores yet, but perhaps the developers of Shift Up are already thinking about one potential sequelat least this is what was suggested by the company’s CEO, Hyung-Tae Kim, who jokingly declared in an interview with Famitsu that we will find out the age of the protagonist in the next chapter.

It all started from the question “why did you decide to make Eve and Lily very young?”. The response in this sense was curious, almost a desire to put our hands forward on the fact that all the characters are adults, despite appearances and previous statements about the “adult entertainment” offered by Stellar Blade.

“They’re not particularly young. Asians everywhere tend to look younger than their actual age, so we took that into account when designing. All characters are adultsso they might be older than you imagine,” Kim said.

When asked if we will be able to find out the age of the characters as the game progresses, Kim replied that perhaps we could find out in the next game, suggesting to players: “play Stellar Blade a lot, have fun and find out the answer in the next game (lol)”.

The Stellar Blade demo arrives this afternoon

EVE, the protagonist of Stellar Blade

The tone of the response is very playful, so it is not clear whether Kim is simply joking or there are actually already some possible ideas for a sequel to Stellar Blade. In the same interview, the CEO of Shift Up also admitted that the game will not have a photo mode at launch but that the developers could add it based on player requests.

We’ll see, surely the critical and public response to the actual qualities of Stellar Blade will be crucial. In this regard, we remind you that the release date is set for April 26 on PS5but in just a few hours you will be able to get an idea thanks to the free demo of Stellar Blade which will be available on the PlayStation Store from today.
