LEINI – Salvatore Nicolosi (in the photo), the 45-year-old driver who was the victim of an accident at work last April 5th, at Seici in via Torino in Leini, did not make it. The man, who worked as a driver, was burned by a leak of phenol, a dangerous chemical compound which not only caused nasty wounds to his leg and torso but, once inhaled, also damaged the internal tissues.
In recent days, at the Giovanni Bosco hospital in Turin, where the driver had been hospitalized immediately after the accident, the situation worsened and the 45-year-old’s heart stopped beating. The Ivrea prosecutor’s office has opened an investigation into the fatal accident. Possible responsibilities to be verified.
Salvatore Nicolosi lived in Vigevano with his wife and two children. He was also well known in the world of music as he and his partner were part of a duo that often performed in clubs in Lomellina. Music, after all, has always been his great passion. The funeral will be held on Monday.
