Work is progressing
Despite the bad weather that has inevitably affected the last few months, work continues on the sports center in via Verdi for which a total investment of over 2.5 million euros financed with Pnrr funds is expected. The works concern the adaptation of existing sports facilities and the demolition of old and unused buildings. In place of the now disused outdoor tennis courts, the installation of new changing rooms for baseball is planned, technologically and energetically high-performance, compliant with the federation’s standards. Next to it are two batting cages, i.e. two spaces in which athletes can practice batting. The grandstand, which can accommodate up to 100 people, and the lights are new, with a more sustainable LED system.
New padel, basketball and beach volleyball courts
In the meantime, work is also underway on the external redevelopment with illuminated paths, relaxation areas and benches. In addition, the sports offer will be expanded with three outdoor padel courts, a beach volleyball court, a 3vs3 basketball court, a calisthenics area and body and mind. The Center will also be a model of accessibility. To ensure complete usability for everyone, independently and safely. Meanwhile, still with regards to the sports sector, the reopening of the swimming pool in via Dante in September is confirmed: an investment of 952 thousand euros.
