On Instagram, Napoli fans turned to the president of Torino FC asking him to sell Alessandro Buongiorno to their club. A media campaign has been underway for some time, which began even before Antonio Conte arrived on the Italian bench, which loudly supports Ale’s move to the Neapolitan club.
It’s not surprising that Napoli fans want Buongiorno in the team given the proven qualities of the defender, only the coach Spalletti seems not to notice it given that he has relegated him to the bench so far at the European Championship, and the depth of the person. But what are the Toro fans doing to support the stay in the Granata of the boy who grew up in the youth team, a true fan, a symbol of the Granata spirit, and obviously a prominent footballer? Certainly not as much, as if they had already resigned themselves to seeing him go.
At the moment, President Cairo has at least publicly declared that he does not want to sell it: “Buongiorno does not have a price because it is not on the market. We are happy that he is with us. Let’s hope Toro fans should at least try to put more pressure on him to stay, after all, Naples will not play the European cups next season exactly like Turin. We know that not only Napoli is interested in Buongiorno and he deserves to play in a team that doesn’t just float in mid-table, but if the fans don’t raise their voices first to ask that the leading player not be sold, when ever Will Taurus ever make the famous leap in quality? Contesting Cairo and asking him to sell Toro is certainly not enough and becomes an end in itself if there is resignation for the constant sale of the best players.
Maybe loudly asking for Buongiorno to stay at Torino won’t help, but neither will trying…
