Orban 6 – The captain tries to keep the team’s tension high, despite struggling against the offensive dynamism of the opponents. He misses the outbound save which leads to 1-3.
Lang 5 – Disappointing performance from the Hungarian defender, replaced at half-time. From 46′ Bubble 6 – More proactive in the offensive phase than Lang but equally imprecise in coverage.
Fiola 5.5 – He pushes generously on the wing, but is often found out of position and late in defensive closures.
Schafer 5 – An afternoon to forget for the Hungary midfielder, constantly at the mercy of the Swiss attacking dynamism. Booked and replaced in the second half.

Kerkez 6 – Some rare positive notes from Hungary, pushing consistently on the wing and being one of the few to be dangerous in the opponent’s area. From 80′ Adam sv
Sallai 6.5 – The best of the Hungarian attack. He often triggers the action with acceleration and inviting crosses, coming close to scoring in the first half. The assist for Varga was invaluable.
Szoboszlai 6 – The captain and top talent fails to turn on and make the difference as expected. He brushes the cross for the temporary 1-2.
Varga 6.5 – He sensationally wastes a couple of opportunities, but makes amends by scoring the goal that reopens the game. He confirms his feeling with the national team.
Marco Rossi 5.5 – His Hungary is on the back foot and remains constantly at the mercy of Swiss aggression and dynamism. In the second half the reaction was there, but it wasn’t enough.
