For the second consecutive year Jannik Sinner will play in the quarterfinals of the ATP 500 in Halle. Last year the South Tyrolean was forced to withdraw from the match with Alexander Bublik and in this edition he will try to improve his ranking in the tournament as number one on the scoreboard. After more than two hours of match, Jannik overcame Fabian Marozsan with a score of 6-4 6-7(4) 6-3 despite some slip-ups in the tie-break of the second set which forced him to react to win the match in partial decisive. The blue’s next opponent will be Jan-Lennard Struffwho after suffering on his debut against Luciano Darderi, eliminated Stefanos Tsitsipas in the round of 16 with a convincing 6-4 6-4.

The quarter-final match between Sinner and the German, number 41 in the world, is scheduled for Friday 21 June as the third match on the Owl Arena, the Central Court in Halle where the day’s program will open at 12:00.
