RIETI – Trieste beats Cantù 83 – 72 in game 4 of the Serie A2 Playoff finals and closes the series by flying to A1. Nothing to do for the Cantù team who fail to conquer the Allianz Dome for the second time in a row after the great victory in game 3. Trieste with a super Vildera (pictured) with 20 points, top scorer of its team, flies into the top flight , winning the gold draw final 3-1, confirming coach Rossi’s words after the last match of the watch phase: «Trieste is a team that will fight to the end for A1» had prophesied the Real coach Sebastiani who next season they will find themselves against Cantù in the next single-group Serie A2 (20 teams).
The picture of the next Serie A2 championship is so complete since today the two games 5 of the Serie B finals were also played, won respectively by Avellino of the former Rieti team Aleksa Nikolic (top scorer of his team with 17 points) and Chinellato and from Libertas Livorno.
