No longer by June 14th, but one more week. By June 20th, Atalanta will have to dissolve their reservations about the future of Charles De Ketelaere. The Belgian talent, purchased last season for 35 million euros from Maldini and Massara’s Milan, was on loan to Bergamo in the season just ended and the right of redemption with which Percassi took him from the Rossoneri club ‘expires’ exactly Friday.
The situation
According to the latest rumours, Atalanta has asked Milan to lower the price for the Belgian striker’s redemption, set at around 22 million euros to which are added any bonuses and a percentage on future resale, on which the Bergamo club would like to return on his steps. At the moment, however, the Rossoneri do not seem willing to meet the Bergamo team, considering the figure established almost a year ago to be more than fair, when De Ketelaere was returning from a disastrous championship, unlike the current situation, in which the Belgian has finds himself having notable numbers and performances in his personal scoreboard.

In the event that the AC Milan-Atalanta situation does not resolve with the redemption (requested, among other things, by Gasperini), the Rossoneri Club will not tear its hair out. It should be noted, in fact, that during the season just ended, various expressions of interest arrived at Casa Milan, with several foreign clubs carefully following De Ketelaere’s growth. Clubs that could have a spending capacity even higher than the right of redemption previously established with Atalanta.
