Interviewed by 90minuten, the Austrian striker reiterates his firm desire to remain in Milan next season too
The season of his return to Inter was a mixed one for Marko Arnautovic. Tormented by some muscle injuries, the Austrian striker ended the season with the Nerazzurri with a score of 7 goals and 3 assists. Now the recurring question is whether the attacker will remain at Inter next season too.
Listening to Arnautovic there will be no doubts: “I think the season went well. I was a bit unlucky with injuries. When I played, I gave my performance. Now everything is good again. Future? I’ve said it so many times. I still have one year contract and I will definitely stay until then. Then we’ll see“, reiterates the Austrian interviewed by 90minuten.
Arnautovic then takes stock of his career: “What do you want to hear now? Do you want to know if I am dissatisfied with my career? What else would have happened if I hadn’t gone to China? Would I have gone to Real Madrid? No, so I’m happy with my career the way it went. At a certain point the journalists realized that I wasn’t so negative. They have changed too, not just me. They realized that I am not a negative person. I was misjudged before. When you become a father, you change. I’m still who I was when I was younger and I still want to have fun. I’m also very direct. I don’t think much has changed. But I’ve definitely calmed down a bit as I’m getting older. Finish your career in Austria? No, definitely not“.
