Even south of Bari, on the Mola-Polignano coast, prices for a place in the sun record average increases of 20 percent. It depends on the beach. There are several along the coast where a family of 3 will spend between 40 and 60 euros a day. The standard offer includes an umbrella and 2 deckchairs, sometimes with parking. Prices fluctuate a lot, but on an average, with just over 60 euros, a couple with a child can enjoy a day at the beach, also taking advantage of some services. In any case you can choose. The offer is varied and composite and it is possible to calibrate the expense, even keeping it under 50 euros, perhaps giving up the beach towel provided by the lido, the free wi-fi, the reserved changing room, the hot shower.
For those from Bari who don’t want to travel too far from the capital and its hinterland, there is the Molese coast where the historic Calarena lido, in Cozze, offers a basic umbrella and two deckchairs for 22.50 euros (27 euros in high season, from 10 June to 25 August), with a 10% surcharge on weekends and holidays. Between Mola and Cozze, there is Wonder Beach, the iconic location of the wedding chosen by the Puglia Region to advertise seaside weddings at all the fairs in the world: «With us frozen prices – explains the manager Gustavo Nitti – from 25 euros each from Monday to Friday, to 30-35 euros on weekends, all inclusive , and an increasingly higher standard of quality.” At Mamaluna Soul Beach, very popular prices, starting from 20 euros, and many “eco” and “wellness” offers: yoga, massages and even a solarium on the lawn irrigated with the reuse of shower water, collected and purified. At the Coco Village, in Ripagnola in Polignano, a blue flag beach, the offer is very varied: from 13 to 18 euros each on the cliff area to 18-30 on the cove with gravel and sand, up to 25-40, 45- 60 euros on wooden terraces one step away from the shoreline.
In almost all beaches, entry is free for children under 3 years of age and discounts are available for minors, elderly people and people with disabilities. For an umbrella and two sunbeds in Cala San Giovanni, blue flag, the basic offer is 50 euros. Prices vary according to the package, which can be premium, exclusive, superior, charme, family comfort and solarium. Here, for a fortnightly pass they ask for 420 euros in low season, 645 in high season.
