As regards the Olympic qualificationat the moment the blues have a combined ranking of 48given that Paolini is 13th May in singles and Errani is 35th in doubles: making a comparison with the ranking needed to enter the doubles draw in Tokyo, the Italians have excellent probability of qualifying, this being the case.
