L’eleventh stage of the Giro d’Italia 2024 it is the Foiano di Val Fortore-Francavilla al Mare. The length is 207km and is classified as one 2 star stop. Height difference 1,850 meters. After a choppy first part, the stage slides towards a flat finish and a final straight stretch: all characteristics that can benefit the sprinters, barring escapes that (unlikely) put the group in check.

The runners leave Campania to head towards Molise, arriving as far as Campomarino where from there they will go up along the Adriatic coast. Municipalities such as Termoli, Fossacesia, Ortona up to Francavilla al Mare, in the province of Chieti, are touched upon.
Altimetry of the eleventh stage
As anticipated, today’s stage is ideally divided between a first part with some altitude difficulties in the Apennines, even if not demanding (a third category GPM, that of Pietracatella, scheduled). After the first 100 km the stage becomes flat.

The only altimetric difficulty of the eleventh stage is the climb to Pietracatella, a third category GPM of 8.5 km.
