Everything postponed until next week: the choice of the new sporting director and that of the coach of the Pisa Sporting Club. The weekend of the Nerazzurri managers will thus be dedicated to reflections, waiting to decide on the best candidate for the bench and the director’s chair. Since the arrival of Alexander Knaster there have been days of contacts and appointments, the last of which produced the name of a new candidate. Fabio Caserta, sacked in recent months by Cosenza, is in fact the fourth coach who has met with the owners, in addition to Pippo Inzaghi, William Viali of Cosenza and Massimo Donati of Legnago. However, he would be an outsider at the moment, because Reggiana is strong on him and at the top of the club’s preferences there would be mainly Inzaghi, awaiting a response from Pisa in the next few days, while he is organizing his wedding from Formentera. In second place, however, there is Donati, highly appreciated for his work at Legnago and identified as a name that could restart the two-year project by opening a new cycle.

On the director front, however, the names are always those of Renzo Castagnini (Brescia), Giovanni Rossi (formerly Sassuolo), Giuseppe Magalini (Catanzaro) and Mattia Baldini (formerly Sampdoria). The favorite at the moment seems to be Rossi, followed closely by Castagnini and Magalini. Some of these coaches and directors are also in the running for other clubs, but they would have given priority to Pisa, consequently once the choice has been made by the Nerazzurri club, a domino effect will be triggered on the rest of the championship.

However, nothing will be decided before the resolution with Stefano Stefanelli, in fact a formality that will be officially communicated by Pisa by Tuesday 11 June, but above all the resolution with Alberto Aquilani. At that point the new Nerazzurri course will begin, for what could be configured as a new two-year project.

In these hours, above all, some news has emerged regarding loan redemptions. Pisa would have communicated to Monza their desire not to buy out either Marco D’Alessandro or Mattia Valoti. For both, the Nerazzurri club will reserve the right to return to the negotiating table during the summer, seeking a more advantageous economic agreement with the Brianza team. In fact, the figures established were 500 thousand euros for D’Alessandro and 800 thousand euros for Valoti’s redemption. The Nerazzurri club will instead buy Tommaso Barbieri from Juventus for 2.5 million euros, but Juventus could decide to buy him out for 3.1 million instead.

In fact, the full-back has attracted the attention of Serie A to him and Juventus is evaluating the purchase with a view to a further transfer. Meanwhile, the leaders of the Nerazzurri club are spending the weekend in Forte dei Marmi, where most of the decisions are made at this time. Today, however, Giovanni Corrado will be present in Carrara to follow the second leg final of the Serie C playoffs between Carrarese and Vicenza.
