Bagnaia on pole at Assen. Marquez crashes | MotoGP

Amazing pole for Pecco Bagnaia in Assen, in qualifying for the Dutch MotoGP GP. On his Ducati the world champion demolished the track record, stopping the clock at 1.30.540 and reiterating an almost unassailable form on the Dutch circuit. Behind him is Jorge Martin, the last to surrender to Bagnaia’s fury, but forced to bow by 81 thousandths with his Ducati Pramac. Completing the front row is Maverick Vinales’ Aprilia, 4 tenths behind.

In the second row are the Ducati Gresini of Alex Marquez (+0.439), the Aprilia of Aleix Espargaro (+0.537) and the Ducati VR46 of Fabio Di Giannantonio (+0.734), who moved up from Q1. Marc Marquez is seventh at 0.838 after a crash: in his last attempt he exaggerates, pulls the brakes on Aleix Espargaro (furious) and flies into the gravel. Usual excess of enthusiasm for the eight-time world champion. Completing the first four rows are Franco Morbidelli eighth, Brad Binder ninth, Pedro Acosta tenth, Enea Bastianini eleventh and Raul Fernandez twelfth.
