In Leipzig, Italy plays everything against Croatia in the third match of Group B.
After the negative performance against Spain, Luciano Spalletti’s Italy can make up for it against Croatia to qualify for the round of 16 as second. But it won’t be easy against a historically very difficult opponent who is also in the running for the next round.
Compared to the match badly lost against the Iberians, the formation will change, even if slightly, (it should be a 4-1-4-1) and consequently also the players: Dimarco, Pellegrini, Frattesi and Scamacca out, Darmian, Cambiaso in, Cristante and Retegui.
The Italian coach is unlikely to remove Di Lorenzo, as declared in the last few hours, while the inclusion of Fagioli in the middle of the field also remains unlikely, at least from the start
In the Croatian ranks, confirmation after the good performance as a substitute against Albania for Sucic in the attacking midfield: coach Dalic should opt for a double attacking midfielder, choosing him and Pasalic behind Kramaric.
For the rest, the usual 4-3-2-1 in which Lecce center back Pongracic should return to the center of the shaky defense (already 5 goals conceded) with Gvardiol returning to the left.
Probable lineups
